Labst 016 - Rights & Descrimination in the Workplace

 This class provides a practical guide to employee rights in the workplace.  It is an elective in the certificate and degree programs.

This class is a 3 unit elective in the certificate and AA degree programs and is usially offered in the every other year.

    STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES: Students who successfully complete this class will be able to:

    1.       Analyze protective legislation guaranteeing employee rights apply to work sites;

    2.       Demonstrate through written and oral reports an understanding of  the historical background of today's rights will place them in perspective, with evaluation of current enforcement attitudes and court decisions; and

    3.       Identify and apply legal protection to specific workplace situations.
