Thanks to generous donations from the Philanthropic Ventures Foundation, Laney President Frank Chong, and the Student Events Council, the Music Department launched a new concert series in the Spring of 2006. The artists and music reflect the rich cultural diversity of the Bay Area and bring stimulating musical programs for the enrichment of students and faculty alike.

On April 12, 2007, world renown Jazz artist: Harvey Wainapel hosted a concert of Bazillian Music as part of our World Music Concert Series. Mr. Wainapel has performed with McCoy Tyner, Joe Lovano and countless others.
