Library InstructionENROLL FOR THE SPRING SEMESTER!
LIS 85 (Library & Information Studies) Introduction to Information Resources (Instructor: Ann Buchalter)
This class is a 2-unit CSU/UC transferable course that will teach you how to use the library's information resources efficiently and effectively and pave the way for a successful academic experience at Laney and beyond.
The class is taught in a short-term hybrid format. There will be 1 (2 hour) introductory meeting, followed by 3 (1.5 hour) meetings over an 8 week period.
***Please be aware that most of this class is taught online and requires a certain level of computer skill. If you have never taken and online class before, take both parts of the "Am I ready to take an Online Class?" quiz below to make sure that you are ready for this type of class!
LIS 85 SPRING SCHEDULE:
Section 1: (Feb. 10 - Mar. 31)
Class Meeting Dates are 2/10 (12-2), and 2/17, 3/3, and 3/17 (12-1:30) in room L104.
Section 2-- (Mar. 24- May 12)
Class Meeting Dates are 3/24 (12-2), and 3/31, 4/14, and 4/28 (12-1:30) in room L104.
***If you do not attend the class on the first day, you WILL BE DROPPED!!!
The Online Classroom will not be accessible until the MONDAY before your class starts.
