One-Week Limited Engagement: COLORSTRUCK

Category: Theater Performances
Laney College Theater
Wednesday, September 06, 2006 to Sunday, September 10, 2006
8:00 PM-9:30 PM

The time is fast approaching for the world premiere of COLORSTRUCK, a hilarious expose of racism, racial intolerance, and the inner-racial conflict between African Americans of different skin tones.  COLORSTRUCK is hard hitting and controversial, and guaranteed to spark dialogue with audiences long after they leave the theater.

The one-man show was written and is performed by Donald Lacy.  It will be directed by Michael Torres, with soundscape and music by Tommy Shepherd.  Tickets are $ 15 for general admission, $7 for students and college staff, and $5 for minors and senior citizens.

An Opening Night Gala reception and discussion will follow the September 7 performance.  Tickets for the Gala are $50.00, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the LoveLife Foundation.

For information about the LoveLife Foundation and ticket reservations, call 510-ONE-LOVE (663-5683).   You can also win free tickets by listening to KPOO 89.5 FM or kpoo.com.

And don’t forget to tune into “Wake Up, Everybody” on KPOO every Saturday morning, from 7 am to noon, now going into its 25th year of broadcasting.
